Permit Requirements
Most fences do NOT need a building permit. Planning and Zoning has requirements for height, location, and configuration.

4 ft max (decorative materials only, no chain link). Per Zoning Ordinance Division 710.04.
Height - Side/Rear
6 ft max (residential). 6 ft screening required for nonresidential outdoor storage.
