Section 703 of Zoning Ordinance governs fences. Ordinance 2018-03 amended fence regulations. Front yard fences cannot extend beyond front building line. Corner lots: 8 ft max, must be 10 ft from curb.
Corner Lots
No closer than 10 ft from curb on bordering roadways. Vinyl coated chain link must include shrub screening along public ROW. Max 8 ft. Per Figure 703(F).
Materials Allowed
Pressure-treated wood (min 5/8 in planks, natural/stain/sealant finish), vinyl coated chain link (brown/green/black), vinyl/PVC composite, aluminum, wrought iron, split-rail (3+ acre lots only), masonry with wrought iron combination.
Materials Prohibited
Barbed wire, chicken wire, or similar wire visible from ROW. Painted chain link prohibited for new construction.
