Height Notes
The county code sets no fence height for a home outside the mill village zoning district (Arnco, Sargent, East Newnan). Its other height numbers cover commercial corridors, subdivision entrance walls, stormwater ponds and dog pens, not house lots. Mill village measurement, Sec. 133.2: height is taken from the highest of the street curb top, the alley surface or the ground next to the fence. On a lot line away from the street it is taken from the average ground level of the lower property. Inside any city limit the city's own code governs, not the county's.
